How to remove your Google and YouTube search history?

Why should Google store the history about what I searched so far on Google and YouTube?

Steps to remove Google and YouTube search history and to disable it:

1. Go to https://www.google.com/dashboard/
2. Log In to your account.
3. You will see a Dashboard where all of your Account, Adsense, Alerts, Analytics etc. details will be there.
4. You will see "Data Tools" of top left corner of your browser, click on it.
5. You will see your Storage, Data Tools details. On the top of it you will get one "Account history" link, click on it.
6. There you will get "Things that you search for", look whether you are getting "Pause"
button or "Enable" button.
7. If you are getting Enable button then your history is turned off or else you have to click on the "Pause" button to disable your search history on Google.
Note: You can go to "Manage history" to delete your previous history.
8. You can repeat the same steps to remove YouTube history. Go to "Manage history" under the title "Your YouTube searches" You will get all of your YouTube searched videos. Click on "Clear all search history" on the top panel under My Search History. So all of your history will be removed.
9. Again go back to your dashboard and click on "Pause" under "Your YouTube searches" and so from now Google will not store your YouTube searches.
10. You can remove the videos which you have watched on YouTube by following the same steps 8 and 9.

So this is how you can remove your history from Google in few steps.
